Today, about 7000 tonnes of garbage is daily dumped across Mumbai out of which about 5000 tonnes are recyclable or biodegradable waste (which loses its properties in its unsegregated condition over time) while the remaining 2000 tonnes is debris and silt. The biodegradable matter and recyclable waste can easily be removed and productively reutilised, but it is wasted because of barriers between the government, general public and the IT sector. Our machine can automatically segregate garbage into various categories which would be a future saviour for our present-day society. Such a machine can process the garbage produced and effectively segregate it. It will segregate garbage based on the density of that piece of garbage. We aim to automatically segregate waste so as to ensure —

  • Better garbage disposal
  • Proper and ideal treatment of waste
  • Prevention of filling of biodegradable and recyclable waste in landfills
  • Efficient waste management
  • Reduced load of garbage in landfills
  • Cleaner environment
  • And a safer haven for the future
