Hydroelectric Power Generator

It was an eximious journey right from the beginning. We were all on cloud nine when we were selected for this project. Our team was dedicated, possessed an assiduous attitude full of tenacity throughout the journey. With the guidance of our respected teachers and parents, we arrived on to what we were looking for- ‘The Hydroelectric Power Generator’. This project required a scientific temper, patience and lot of co-ordination. The working of our model is the same as that in real life. The water stored at a height possesses potential energy and when the valve (which resembles the gates of the dam) is opened, this water falls down and then it has kinetic energy. It then rotates the blades of the turbine, converting kinetic energy into mechanical. Then, this turbine moves the generator and the mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy which reaches our homes through the power grid distribution.
