Cryo-Turbine

The project comprises three main components :

  • A metal ball with a custom screw on top having three outlets for air, which, in turn, are connected to three individual copper nozzles to direct the air flow better and generate thrust more efficiently.
  • Liquid Nitrogen used as fuel to provide the thrust and cause the ball to rotate.
  • A dynamo to convert the rotation of the ball into electricity.

The hollow metal ball is filled with liquid nitrogen which vaporizes fast and can generate an incredible torque due the high pressure generated inside the ball. This propels the copper nozzles which then rotate at a high speed. This, in turn, provides the rotational torque to the attached dynamo which can convert the mechanical energy into electricity.
