Smog is the no. 2 contributor to global warming. Keeping this sentiment in mind, our team decided to work on solutions to combat climate change, specifically, the part arising from increasing air pollution due to smoke/smog that contains a high percentage of carbon particles.
Given the above, our problem statement was, “How might we reduce smoke-caused pollution?”
Our team came up with the idea to use a smoke absorber machine, with the add-ons of a carbon filter and a wire mesh fitted to the clean air release tube, to prevent the large carbon particles of smoke from leaving the machine. The machine uses principles of adsorption and suction of air using fans.
We believe such an invention, or perhaps a more refined version of it, could go a long way in preventing the imminent rise of climate change and helping us restore our environment to its former glory.
