An oxygen concentrator is the need of the hour. With Covid-19 taking over the world and creating a shortage of medically supplied oxygen, this project can help many people in need. What’s special about this oxygen concentrator is that it takes atmospheric air as input and gives up to 90% concentrated oxygen ready for medical use. Atmospheric air consists of 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen, to get this oxygen we use Zeolite, a porous rock, has properties that allow it to separate oxygen from nitrogen. Another important aspect of this project is PSA technology. In PSA technology we alternate the filtering process of Oxygen and Removal of residual nitrogen to improve efficiency and save time. Lastly, we can store the purified oxygen into storage tanks or directly connect it to a mask to give it to a patient in need.
